Architekton: Greek meaning Master Builder - A term historically applied to the individual who was responsible for the design and the construction of a project.
The traditional process for the evolution of a building project usually involves numerous independent parties that, in the end, should produce the desired structure. Using this typical model, a client’s program, budget and major design elements are significantly altered --perhaps omitted-- producing an inferior result. During the Renaissance, a division occurred between the individual who designed the project and the one who was responsible for its construction. This splitting of functions, often left clients with buildings that did not satisfy their needs.
Recognizing the disconnect between the planning, design and construction phases in the building industry of today, Architektons employs the Master Builder process which provides our clients with a sound solution. The Master Builder is sole the entity responsible for the project’s planning, design and construction, by providing comprehensive Program Management, Design + Planning and Construction Management solutions. Our growth over the years speaks to our clients’ satisfaction and the success of this model. It is the core of what we do.
